soundpedro is an annual sound art festival produced by the Long Beach artist group FLOOD (of which I am a member), in partnership with Angels Gate Cultural Center, in San Pedro, CA.
Since its beginning in 2017, soundpedro has expanded from a one night only on-site event, to a full season of events. When the COVID-19 pandemic made apparent no on-site event could take place in 2020, we produced an online virtual festival: soundpedro2020schizophonia. We presently continue to include online presentations in addition to on-site events.
