Dimensionals bring digital paintings out into real space; integrating digital imagery with sculptural form. The three dimensional form becomes my canvas and the digital painting is constructed to fit the topology it will ultimately inhabit.
Dimensionals explore the relationship of physical and illusionistic space, and how our perception of things real and imagined combine to create a unified whole. Thus, I am not merely interested in the decoration of a sculpture’s surface, but how the embellishment of a surface can alter how one perceives that surface, in relation to itself and the surrounding space.
